Pretty sick project. I always wondered what an elco would look like with those mods. I'm interested in seeing how she turns out.

man thats a pretty creative ride. I love it. a bit of paint and cleaning up and shes gonna be a beauty. hope to see some updates soon. I like seeing customs thats arent like all the others

Nice body work. I must say, it's different than any other wagon, or 2-dr conversion I've ever seen. Definitely keep us updated on your progress. It's going to look outrageous with paint on it. I dig the fins. I don't remember the last time I saw a tilt front end done..but it's cool.
Did you tilt the windshield (A-pillars) back in order to meet the Elky glass?
What are your future plans for it?
What door handles are you using?

Oh, and thanks for posting the pics.

Here's what my face did first seeing this car:

This started out as a 1982 Malibu classic V-6 wagon. I cut off everything from the dash back leaving only about 4" up the "A" pillar (having to tilt it back and in slightly) then cut and slipped in the roof and jambs as one peice from a "camino. Because of the wheel base, the "camino 1/4 skins had to be modified to fit. The fins, gas neck and tail lites were all hand made. The left tail lite folds down and pulls out the gas fill neck. The tailgate is the original but turned up side down and stretched to fit the power window. The hood is glass and I made a mould originaly from a 93 camaro flat hood with a scoop. I just purchased my house and am building a 30x50 garage and hope to get back to my toy. "NUMAD"
