my parents neighbor that i have known my whole life is a olds guy and had one of THEE nicest 85 cutlass's that i have seen to date. he sold it to a friend a few years back but i still see it once in awhile. anyways this guy is full of information and he told me that the cutlass and i am assuning most gm cars up until 85 had laquer paint jobs and that is why they all got the crackeled paint going for them. the more i think abot it the more i think he was right, i am thinking back to all of the 84 and older cars and they all had that issue but i have my 85 riviera and it has what appears to be a base blear job on it.....
