Started 84 Elcamino project in late 2016 with my then 15 year of son. Bought the car started tear down and got sick. Well we are back at it and wanted to share the build with everyone and get some of the great advise I started reading here a while back.
The build is a full frame off with upgrades to handling braking and a little boost in power. Building a well done daily driver that will last a while for my son to drive on the nice southwest Florida winters. looking to be done in 10 months! Gonna be tough but cant miss next winter as I did this one due to my health issue.
Got some great advise on steering and braking and going ahead there and up next is fuel system. Looking at bolt on fuel injection stand alone systems V.S. carb. Who's got reviews and or advice on systems and issues or options.
Only structural rust spot was the one body bolt hole and only had to cut off 4 bolts in the hole tear down. Pretty happy with that.
Ill try to keep pics coming
