hope to break in the cam as soon as the rad shows up, and no didnt feel disrespected, was just sayin it came with the 305 all good, lucky for the tires its winter up here lol, or they would be bald pretty quick lol
Great snag for $700. You even got buckets console & looks like ralley guages. You know you can make some type of conversion parts from the salvage yard so that you can hook your factory guages up to work like the tach & oil pressure. I did this on my with Caddy motor. You also got a nice color, ralleys, and a rear spoiler. You did good.
The tires look good but if you burn off the rears BFG makes a RWL 245/60/14 that looks bad arse and would go with your fronts. Is your carb and filter going to fit under the hood? If you want an inexpensive solution and would like to make it functional check out my pics. You might consider getting the trim pieces and getting rid of the top as it looks done for.
Shoot you even have a cool rally steering wheel. If you still have that crappy metric 3 speed you might look for a 200-4r as it would be a drop in and probably the single best upgrade you will make at least if you ever drive her on a highway. You get both the benefits of being able to use quarter mile gears and not rev the snot out of it and waste fuel going down the road. Plus you can use a higher stall lock up converter to take full advantage of your cam without sacrificing drive ability mileage or putting excessive heat load on your cooling system like a regular high stall converter would do.
Edit If you snag a 200-4r before you put the motor back in I would while you have the trans out have a shop put in a good shift kit for you. It will be a little time and a little money well spent. http://www.ckperformance.com has an excellent one which they sometimes discount to $100 if you ask them about it. Cheap shift kits for the 200-4r that you find at the autoparts stores are well you get what you pay for.
its got a turbo 350 in it now, ya the top is has seen way better days,im getting a new 1 put on in the spring, ya the carb and air breather both fit under the hood no problems
got it running just fine tuning it, thought i would be able to get away with using the old turbo 400 mufflers
but after 1 good run with it that was the end of that, blow out both baffles, heres a video with old mufflers
and heres with my new 1's, i was shocked as to how they sounded, i heard them on my buddys car and wasnt to impressed,
but thought oh well they are cheap enough, but wow was i wrong, huge difference, anyone wants to guess as to what they are???
