Ok in detail this is what exactly happens for my car to hesitate .

1 I crank the car up everything is fine then as I get to a stop sign or stop light coming to a complete stop. I then place my foot on the acceleration at moderate pressure then It hesitates for a sec then goes. Sometimes if I do it with a little more that moderate pressure it cuts off. Please if anyone can give me an insight on this i would appreciate it .

i am thinkin maybe your idle is set to low in combination with a clogged/dirty carb. idle should be about 1100 rpm in park and a little over 700/800 in drive. get some carb clean, also some injector cleaner for in the tank, and adjust the idle up a bit. if that does not solve the problem it may be a carb overhaul time

Not on a stock or near stock engine it shouldn't. Your idle should be lower than that and should have a smaller drop in RPM's going from park/neutral into gear. If you have a stock or a little bigger than stock cam, your idle should be somewhere in the 750ish range in park. In gear the RPM's should only drop about 200 or lower. If a stock/near stock engine requires 1100 RPM at idle then there are some tuning issues that need to be sorted out.
