With in the last month and half I found two 86 442's. the first is a t-to car with no motor and a pretty straight body for $1300 bucks. I knew of another g-body olds I had my eye on for about a year and had offered $1500 for it last year It had the 442 stripe kit but just didn't know about it needs some body work. last week I was driving by and stoped to ask about it again and low and behold they needed some money. Last years offer was out of the question since I already had a 442 so let the hagling begin. All said and done got it for $700 vin coded 442 also. So I need another car for parts or just parts. Salvage around here sucks, ebay kinda sucks, along with craigslist for g-body Olds in this area. One car needs interior parts and the other needs body parts. Any ideas? Not worried about an engine since I have a 70 350 olds that will be built for the first car. The second car has the original 307 cool. His and Hers kinda deal.

i say whatever has the 307, turn it into a granny car. u know with the hubs and white walls.

then the other, u put da bad a$$ 350 in with some bad a$$ racing rims!

Thats what I've been thinking too. Rebuild the t-top car to original condition 🙂 and the other car gets a waspy 350 with NOS.

Build up the 307 with (1980-85) #5A heads, w/1.875" Intake, 1.562" Exhaust Valves, shave heads 0.030", perf intake, Mondello RH-14-22 roller cam, to keep on computer. The other make a 350 Stroker Olds!

I was thinking of stroking the 350 using chevy rods and offset grind on the crank. Try to keep compression around 10-1 so I can still run pump gas. I have a set of 7 heads with 2.07 int and 1.68 ex that have been ported And flow well. Plus I have a NOS Cheater setup lying around that needs a home. Just a start.
