I picked up an 86 442 with a smoked small block Chevy recently. The engine was out when I bought the car ( the guy had his 14 yr old son take the engine out for "practice" so it was a scramble finding all the pieces that got lost ) I have the engine back in the car but I am having a tough time getting the alternator and power steering mounted. I'm not sure if I even have the right brackets ?? I also changed over to headers from the stock manifolds. Does anyone have some pics they could send me of a G Body with the alternator mounted on the passenger side and NO AC ?? I would prefer not to go out and spend $150 on "billet brackets" guessing they won't make the car any faster lol
Thanks for your help !!

Here's the top bracket right here. Your's is probably black though because this is a crappy aftermarket one. It will be a big guy with a long slot to adjust belt tension.

Here's the "L" shaped bracket that bolts onto the waterpump. A bolt goes through the hole on the alternator and threads into the cylinder head.

And here's the last one. It's kind of a wierd one but it bolts to the back and then that long bolt threading into the cylinder head goes through it, spacing the alt from the head.

Sorry for the terrible pictures, I have misplaced my camera and can't find it. With the PS pump you may need to make a spacer for the ps pump because the bracket mounts to the stock manifold. Usually the headers come with a spacer though but if not just take a piece of pipe and cut it down. No big deal.
