Hello everyone,
Finally I am privelaged enough to be the proud owner of an 86 cutlass supreme. I always dreamed of getting a g body since I was about 10, I'm now 24 and finally came across one. I found mine for 200 bucks. The entire brake system needs to be replaced because someone put gas and water in the master cylinder and it wiped out everything rubber in the system, needless to say there is no brake pressure at all. The body is poker straight and the interior is mint. The good part, about a year ago I bought an 83 s15 pickup that I planned on building as a project with a 383 stroker motor I had built. Almost everything in the brake system on the truck is the same as the cutlass. I double checked the part numbers at work (Advance Auto Parts). My problem is that I'm trying to find out if the rear diff from an 83 s15 2wd 6 cyl is the same as the diff in an 86 cutlass supreme with a 6 cylinder? I put a set of 3.73's with a mini spool in the *ss of the truck and I figure why waste it and use it in the cutlass. Anyone who has done this or threw gears in the back of theirs any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
