86 Cutlass Supreme...Springs and Shocks...

Just got a 86 cutty with under 100k and man does it purr. Anyhow, I want to lift it a little with new springs and shocks. Any suggestions on which ones and what is a fair price to have the work done? Want to lift it hopefully 3 inches with some heavyduty springs and shocks. thanks 😛

ridicule me for what? wanting a little bit higher ride than you? hope not. I want to paint it so the 2 or 3 inches of lift will help save the body tuffguy. but in case anyone has some positive input id love to hear it . thanks again

I can see wanting to restore it to original ride height but 2 to 3 inches is a lot higher than stock. The only good thing to come from that much ride height is if your wanting to turn it into a donk or i think that might actually be a box(That's where the ridicule will come from). Anyway, if its sagging and you want to go up a little just go to your local parts store an get replacement springs in the front and cargo coils in the back.

No, because G bodies sit too damn high to begin with and need to be lowered if anything.

im one of the few who like the same style as you man, the "jacked up" rear with some fat tires on the back and skinnier in the front, not that ridiculous amount tho where the tires stick out the wheel well like 3 inches tho.. just get some nice 15x 10s, get a 275/60/r15 on the rear and it will help get it up alittle bit. and if your lucky...find some gabriel hijackers and that will help more to. to each there own tho, just my opinion.

i too want to replace my coil springs in my cutlass not to raise up the car
but because i think they are weak i have 22 inch tires and rims which are
28 inches tall but with passengers i bottom out but i dont want raise it because i donk consider it a donk.i get complements all day from different

If you lift it, you need to paint it flat black, put a skull on the hood, and run sidepipes with no mufflers. yeah ... mad max style is what it's all about!
