I have a 86 cutlass need to lift it 2 to 3 inches in the front with stock setup.can I just put bigger springs on it and front shocks.what do I need to do the easy cheap route .thanks
Have you checked to be sure that somebody before you didn't install drop spindles? If they did, you may be able to get the lift you want by returning to stock. If stock spindles are on it now, ask around and get several suggestions, one thing, the 34yr old springs may be sagging. My car was a factory v6 engine which I swapped for a v8, requiring new springs to lift it up because of old sagging springs, and the larger, heavier engine.I have a 86 cutlass need to lift it 2 to 3 inches in the front with stock setup.can I just put bigger springs on it and front shocks.what do I need to do the easy cheap route .thanks
An extra thought, easy and cheap now might be more expensive in the long run. Check things out thoroughly before you spend time and money on things you don't need.Have you checked to be sure that somebody before you didn't install drop spindles? I see, you want big rims and tires. I don't know how to raise it for big rims and tires, but don't go away, someone else will probably know the answer.Thank you for the information .no it not a drop spindle im trying to lift it 3 to 4 inches in the front and drop and tuck his 24 inch rims in the back never did it before so im a newbie its for a friend he want it as stock as possible can i order adjustable top control arms which taller springs will that work or will I need the lift spindle.
