im pulling my dash out to replace the speakers that gm had to bury under an entire dash. anyone have a procedure or helpfull tips so i dont crack or damage pulling it out. i never pulled one out of a gbody car before

I always remove the front seats and console if any. Then drop the steering column down and CAREFULLY remove all the fasteners. Be aware of the small screws up by the windshield vents. If it resists, you probably missed a fastener. Pontiac was nice enough to place the center speaker under a removable grille. But why was Chevy the only one to use grilles at the 3" end speakers?

my car doesnt have a center speaker. and im not counting too many bolts or screws holding it on. i just dont wanna crack this dash. i dyed it but its in absolutely perfect shape
