This is my 4th as, and 7th gbody. I got this one back in Sept of 2015. Sold the 85 ss shortly afterwards. I wanted a hardtop, the 85 was a t top and after patching the floors found golf ball size holes in a the a pillar and the top header panel looked like Swiss cheese. Sold the body and kept the drivetrain. Got the 87 running and driving, albeit the crossmember wasn't bolted down ( 700r4/ stock crossmemeber). Has x pipes and flowmeter 40s. Motor was a 350 with a small cam. I put the 388 from old Monte in ( less than 1200 miles on motor) and the 700r4 I had built locally in. Also put the 04 Monte front seats in. The wiring was a mess and I'm sorting that out. Did the h4 upgrade, torque converter lockup switch, and pioneer head unit front 3x5 and rear 6x9s. Also put the convo pros from 85 on it. Had surface that on hood so I sanded it down and treated the rust, then primed and rattle can painted the front satin black. I joined because I have surfed this forum for the last 10 years, and was registered on montecarloss.com with old Monte. And my car is being used in the upcoming movie Galveston with Ben foster.
