i jsut got a 87 olds 442 with t tops and under the sterring wheel is a kill switch and was wondering if anyone knew if that is stock for that year or if someone added it..and if anyone knew how much horse power those have stock i cnat seem to find out..i jsut added a holley intake and a flowmasters h pipe exhaust if that affects it that muhc..and does anyone know the bes tthing to do to improve throttle respnse mine is terrible..thanks

I don't have a kill switch on my '87 442, so I'll assume it's not stock. If I remember correctly, factory HP was around 180HP and 250 ft/lbs of torque. Assuming the motor is stock, of course.

Never heard of a kill switch on them before so I'll second the "not factory" vote. I have an '86 that I was planning on hopping up the factory 307 a little. Everyone that I talked to about it said the same thing, that's a low compression motor and it just wont make good power. Sure it can be better, but likely not what you hope it to be.
As far as the throttle response, do your routine stuff. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor. If you have all of that done, maybe your timing is off a bit???
Goood luck
