does anyone know what california emissions consisted of on 87 turbo regals/grand nationals? it has its own rpo code NB2. just wondering what the differences are between the federal 49 state and cali emissions. thanks
As far as I know the only difference is the chip. Eric at TurboTweak can burn you an emissions chip that you would plug in right before the test. That chip is not meant for any kind of boost.
Also make sure catalytic convertor is nice and hot.
If you run some alcohol in your tank, it will come out cleaner as well (It's sold in a can - as an emissions test helper at the stores) or you can just use some alky.
This was suggested by the shop that did my smog test and it worked great. Car was super clean!
