i have an 87 monte carlo. i can get a nine inch rearend cheap. its set up for coil springs. the guy said its original setup. just wondering what had this rear end. i am going to get him to measure it.

I'm pretty sure the old Ranchero's had them...ALso the Bronco/explorer's did too........ 8)
 
i know the bolt pattern is different but how hard would it be to install. i am guessing the yoke for the driveshaft would be different. from the picture its hard to tell if the upper and lower arms are in the right location. still waiting to hear back about the measurements.
 
the rear end is 58" backing plate to backing plate. will this fit. the upper arm mounts aren't in the same place as the 7.5. i am sure there is some universal arms out there. i guess the axles would have to be changed.
