First the frame and body will need reinforcing, G bodies were not built to take that kind of power.

what year, model 350?? could be done with a 383 or 400 block, good heads, serious fuel induction.... 8) imo a basic 350 sbc chevy 500hp is not possible? ... I have been wrong plenty of times though!!

I'm pulling 430 HP on a stock L-82 short block w/2.02 chevy iron heads, vic jr w/750, and comps 306 flat tappet cam. (460 HP on alcohol) . Better heads-piston-cam combo you can do it.

Its been done over and over but it ain't cheap. For the same money you can have a 383 with more power and better reliability.

I know the guys that build what we call a mid America motor for the circle track are right at the 497-502hp with vortec heads and flat tops and a big cam for the circle track application. I do like build in the 383 motors both for the TQ and HP that can be had. Still its all about the budget on is working with. For some people $$$$$ is not a big deal but for sum $$ is a big deal.
