Does anyone know the belt part number offhand to bypass the a/c compressor on an 85 olds 307? The part stores around here can't handle me bringing a string in and matching it up to a belt. Any info would be awesome

cool. I'm picking the car up tomorrow and I wasn't sure if anything else ran on that belt. The compressor is squeeling like mad and I want it to stop Thanks!

The compressor probably isn't what is squealing. If it is turned off, there should be no load on the belt and no reason for it to squeal. That is, unless the idler bearing in the pulley is shot. If that is the case, it just needs a compressor clutch.
