So a friend of just came across a Grand National that got clipped. The motor, trans, a the rest of the body are ok, it starts runs and rolls. He ask me $3000 to getting out of his shop. My question is should I build the buick 455 big block or get the doner car a swap it into my regal?

Is the car totalled? Post some pics

I'd say it's up to your personal preference if you're interested in the drivetrain vs a 455. But if a lot of it is still good like you say, then I'd pick it up, part it out, and make sure not a single piece of good sheet metal ends up in a scrap yard.

Well depending on whats still salvageable i say go for it worth alot more then that if you part it out right. As far as doing the swap thats up to you. Having owning a GN currently in my opinion they are to finicky and tempermental and once you start moding them its easy to dump over 10k. If I where to go back to the day I decided to buy mine knowing what i know now i would walk away I am 20k into a car between buying it and upgrades its maybe worth 8-12k on todays market. Now thinking about it I need to :puke:

Hmm I agree, I just wanted to get some feedback I am leaning toward purchasing this vehicle take what I need and get rid of the rest.

I would say pick it up. GN parts can easily make you $$$ if you part it and the main drive line is good.

Buy it and fix it?

Even a "rebuilt" GN is worth a good amount of $$$ unless it's a turdbucket.
