Well, the other day my kids begged me to show them a car that I've had for over twenty years now. I went in halves with my brother, we were 21 and had to borrow money for it. Needless to say we couldn't afford parts and we didn't have the room for a long term project. So it sat, and by the time we had any money, we were interested in late model stuff that we could make money on. Back then we were fixing up a different crashed car about every six months. The longer it sat the less interested we were in it. We had even considered selling it a few times but I'm glad we didn't. It may become a project for us and our kids in a few years. I think this may be the first time it was on the ground since it went up several years ago. It spent its first years in our parents garage until my brother built the storage building that it's in now.
The car is an '81 Ferrari 308GTSi with about 8K on the odo. It's in rough shape and needs everything. It's never ran and we had to drag it a few feet to free the brakes. Don't expect any updates on this one for a while 🙁

The other car is my older brother's '81 Lamborghini LP400S. It had had an engine fire when he got it, almost ten yrs ago. The whole car has been apart and is drivable again. Every nut and bolt was re-plated or painted as needed. He plans to paint it bright yellow. 😀

Awesome project cars!
That Lamborghini looks amazing; nice work!
