Good evening,

I went to the junkyard an found an 83 Regal with some usable trim panels I took to use on my 79 Malibu Classic Landau. I just pulled the window trims out after removing the screw on the door jamb above the kick panels. I did the same on my Malibu just now and am having a difficult time figuring out how to reinstall these peices. Does the dash need to be pulled to install them? These are the panels in question.

Another question I have is when I removed the driver side A pillar the dome light and rear defroster wires were just hanging in a black sleeve about 10" long. Is that plastic sleeve supposed to be pushed on to the body in one groove and the other houses the wires or is it just supposed to rest beside the metal and A pillar cover? The plastic sleeve kind of looks like an S when looking down form one end. The headliner has been redone a long time a go so Its not the first time that the wires might have been touched.

Thank you,
-Scott

The black sleeve sticks on over the pinchweld, and the other side holds the wires

I think you'll have to pull the upper a pillar trim to access the screws on the "J" trim pieces. Not every car got screws in the holes, but some did
