One of my casual interests is abandoned places. I came across this part of another site with some unusual stuff, like an abandoned tank range in the former Soviet Union.

One thing I would like to do some day is travel to different places like that.

The best one is still Pripyat in the Ukraine, which was the city built to service the workers at the Chernobyl nuclear plant. However, that requires a geiger counter to be safe, and it has already been visited by a lot of people. I really want to visit Bodie California, which is the best preserved US ghost town.
