Bought Accel 8mm spark plug wire kit. How in the name of GOD does anyone "slide" the distributor boot onto the wire??????? This is really freaking me out. Please help.

Thank you.

A little bit of spit works for me lol.

The kit should have come with some dielectric grease. Put some on the end of the wire(the metal part you crimped on) then push it in the boot.

yeah, i actually JUST did this last night,

i had a hell of a time when i was putting di-electric on the connection. once i put some in the boot i was good to go.

The dielectric grease in the kit is intended for the terminals and I didn't want to get a bunch of grease all over the kitchen table. I used some WD-40 and that did the trick.
