Hello,
I have been looking like crazy for new rims for my 80 Lemans. It has the stock 14x6 steels now that are quite pitted. My goal is to put something wider on (14x7?) with the same 3.5 backspace and keep the hub caps.
I am not notching my frame or using spacers.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Heres the direct replacement: ..but i would like wider of this same wheel.

Thanks.

A set of 15" Pontiac rally II's would look sharp on there

X2 I would definitely step up to a 15" rim those will still look stock but look good on your car and upsizing will give you more tire choices plus 14" rims always look a bit too small on a Gbody.

And a 215/65/15 was a stock tire size on gbodys w/ 15"s

I am very torn between Rally 2s and the stock hub caps.
How much of a difference is the ride quality between 14" and 15" ?
And what is the deepest backspace i can go without notching the frame and having any scrub front or rear ? When i tried the rally rim in the above pic, the tire was 1" from the frame. So 1 nice pot hole and it scrubs. That was 4 1/4" backspace.

Im currently looking at these:

I run 15 w/ 4? 25" B'S 235/70/15 as well as 255/60/15 in rear with no scrub
