anyone still use their column shifter on a V8 G-body with LT headers?....especially Olds V8 guys?
also anyone convert to a cable on their column instead of the rod-style linkages?
Lokar and Ididit make a column shift cable linkage for 2" GM columns, but i can't find any info on whether or not G-bodies use the "2 inch" style columns. I did find that the previous generation A-bodies had them, just not whether or not they carried over to the G-bodies.
I really dont wanna lose the column shifter when i do a V8 swap in my cutlass next year. I dig the old school bench seat/column shifter vibe in this car.

I have dynomax LT in my grandprix the linkage would ping the tube when u would shift to 1st but no big deal

well i have a 403 with headman lt headers, i have the rod for shifter. i dont have a problem mine works and shifts good.i am going with the floor shifter next year.

X'2 When I first did the Olds V8 swap, I retained the factory column shift set up with zero issues, that was running flowtech :puke: headers back when they were made to fit, (I don't suggest them now though).

I had a column shifter work w/Poston's Super Comp headers when the Buick 455 was put into my '83 Cutlass. It would hit the collector when shifting into 'drive', but that was the only issue.

thanks guys
my last cutlass had a 307 with flowtech LT's.....
so maybe its just the newer Flowtech LT's that dont really work with a column shifter?
