I don't think I've ever seen the '80 or '81's in person and there's limited pics of them floating around, especially the interior. Just curious how many people own them and how rare they are. Post some pics if you own one.

i have an 80 somerset. Its a project but all the somerset stuff and interior is intact. I had an 82 somerset that i sold my friend, so its still around

You surely don't see too many of those around, let alone the '80 model period. Any idea on production numbers?

6,813 in 1980, i think i heard somewhere around 2000 for the 82 model year.
I saw one 81 for sale in cali about 2 years ago, didnt specify it as a somerset, but it had the rim, paint, and interior of the ad ive seen for an 81.
Ive seen a few 80 models here and there, i got mine shipped from Mass, but it needs some body work, another project that will take forever.
Never heard of or saw an 83
Torjan and i always appear on every "somerset" thread on the internet i think hahaha

I really want my 82 back, but its in good hands. A customer actually came in a month ago that had an 80 somerset, he only stopped in cuz he saw mine sitting there. His is real clean but needs a motor, man i wish i could convince him to part with it. . .

I got my 82 almost 7 years ago, had no idea what it was, and once i found out i became obsessed with finding somerset cars. I bought a buick 1980 catalog at englishtown swap meet 2 years ago and saw the 80 somerset and had to have one. 1 month later that rust bucket arrived on a car carrier.
