Hi All. Just FYI, I reached out to SoffSeal about weatherstripping for wagons. All I see listed on their site is for coupes. The company is headquartered in Lebanon, OH, southwest of Columbus, and northeast of Cincinnati. I'm waiting to see if they have any interest in prototyping/measuring a kit for wagons. Would any of you be interested in lending your good-condition wagon to them for prototyping/fitment? I would guess the deal would be you'd get a complimentary kit when they go into production. Otherwise, I know I wouldn't be interested.

I did see that Steele Rubber has sets for the wagons. Have any of you had experience with their products? As long as there's one vendor that has support for the wagons, I'm happy, but figured it couldn't hurt if there was more than one.

Have you tried contacting Metro Products in Minneapolis? If I recall, I approached them about reproducing the glass run channels. They didn't seem to be that receptive to the idea. However, if someone can extrude new tailgate to rear hatch seals, that would be awesome.
I guess it would have to be a part that's in high demand to be worth their while and investment. You have to look at in a business sense.

Yeah. I also recently reached out to OPGI offering my wagon for measurement and R&D of wagon-specific parts, since they are local to me down here in SoCal. They said “not at this time” but didn’t totally slam the door in my face. If you guys want to carpet-bomb their inbox with wagon requests, maybe they’ll change their mind. 😆

Where the problem comes in, is that there's not a lot of wagons out there compared to Monte Carlos, Regals, Cutlasses, GPs, Malibus, etc. So again, it would have to be cost effective for them to reproduce.
I guess I could understand from their point of view. However, if enough wagon owners came together to petition for certain seals, etc, that would be the only way to possibly achieve results.

Jack, a few months back a guy on the FB G body wagon group claimed he was having the rear gate seal repo'd, and I though there was talk about the upper gate seal as well. I don't read it much anymore because it's like all the other FB groups, same old sh*t (for the coldwarmotors fans!) being posted over and over by the same people obsessed with "front end friday" and "side shot saturday"....kinda like the MR FB page was last time I looked at it

I found another thread on here about how Metro Moulded Products makes a lot of Steele’s G-Body parts private label. Sure enough, Metro had the wagon door seals for about 25-30% less than Steele. I think I’m going to look into those.

I bought my Metro door seals from Rock Auto. I don't think Metro sells them directly to the consumer. If they do, they're usually more expensive than other companies selling their products.
They were priced reasonably from Rock Auto.
