Armrest Mods

Hey, everybody,
Since there are no cup holders in my '81 Regal, I've started to think about what I can do. I have the common split bench with a fold-down armrest. I want to do something that looks decent, like swapping in an armrest from a newer station wagon. I'm also considering taking apart the armrest and fitting it with some kind of inner plywood contraption. Anyone ever done either of these things or know about how much work I have to look forward to?

What about the one OPGI sells that slides into where your ashtray goes? I thought about one of those,but I smoke,so i'd have to get a smokers cup.

i just found those "plug and chugs" today! I'm considering getting one.
