Are you guys aware that your cars are being used as advertisement in this ad? Only reason I ask is because im looking for cowl hoods and these seem real cheap. I thought FE3X made his and Art used a Goodmark steel 2" cowl hood. If im wrong and you did use them how'd they fit?

I would message you each but my phone is semi-retarded.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS AT ALL. I can tell you the horror stories. It's really crappy they are advertising FE3X's hood as one of their own, and it doesn't look anything like the 4" cowl hood I got from them.

What horror stories? Fitment or??

The reason I posted it was because I was pretty positive that Art has a steel Goodmark hood on his and FE3X has a custom one off type deal on his. I just thought it was weird seeing those cars in the ad. For the price I was interested in one....

Originally the hood was on craigslist, I live in North Carolina, and this ad was posted from Ohio to my local area. Weird, but I proceeded. They seemed like decent hoods, cheap price, so I called and asked if they had them listed on eBay as well (I was apprehensive of doing business from that far over cragislist). The guy said yes, he had several of them, so he would put it on eBay, and add "a buy it now" option. He said he didn't have paypal, but you could purchase it through eBay with your credit card info. I should have known something was up. So I went to the listing, and he listed it where it was a "buy it now", but I still had to get in touch with the seller and give him my credit card info over the phone, wtf. The hood was an absolute piece of sh*t, excuse my French. I knew the fitment wasn't going to be perfect because let's face it, it's fiberglass, but I mean this thing was way off. I had to do a ton of work just to get it on the car. And even now it still isn't right. On the sides it's bowed up in the middle, and no matter how high you adjust the hood bumpers, it still doesn't make contact with them. So I still need to do some further fitment modifications. I was also told on the phone (before I purchased) that the latch area and hinge bolting points were reinforced with steel, no such thing, on my hood at least. In addition, the hood was damaged when it got to me. Which I can't blame the hood company for, but I called and asked for paperwork, to file a claim with the shipping company. I called and texted multiple times and just got the run around that it was in the mail. To this day I don't even have a receipt from them for the hood. I guess the only paperwork I have for the hood is the receipt from the shipping company, and the proof on eBay saying I had bought the listing and needed to get in touch with the seller to pay. I wish I had persued this a little more, but whatever, its been a year. Its already on the car, im just gonna do my own bodywork to get it looking decent and fitting right. Here are some pictures from when I first got it home.

Damage on the front of the hood (again, not the manufacturers fault) but it was pretty signifigant.

I don't really know what happened here, bubbled? This is on the very peak of the "Z28 ridge". Not really a fan of it, but the hood was cheap. Anyway, lets continue.

Very rear corner of the hood, by the windshield, what happened?

And to top it off some NICE trimming work on the back of the cowl.

I did some research on them after (which I was stupid and should have done before) and the reviews are less than stellar. Lots of forum posts similar to this one, and BBB complaints similar to mine.
