Hi guys my name is Dave. I live in Ct. I have a 78 Malibu 2door. This is my second one. I had the same 78 Malibu. About 22yrs ago. It was my favorite all time car. Still have pics of it. I did a lot of street racing with it. Now I'm older and was exited to come across one. My wife thinks I'm having a mid life crisis. Lol. It has a 350 in it, has a little rump at idle but I don't know what was done to it. 350 Trans I'm told has a shift kit??? Not sure. It has a edlbrock carb bit it needs rebuilding or tuning. I already have a 7.5 308 posi for it, I've painted it all black (everything, just like I wanted to do my first one). 2inch cowl hood, I have the s10 spindle and calipers for the front and ls1 set up for the rear.
My plan for now is get it running right, do the brake upgrades, and take the family out for nice rises , basically enjoy it for this summer. I eventually want some nicer wheels, lower it, redo the suspension so it doesn't feel like a boat. Then eventually I want a 200r4 and swap out the 308s for 373s. I'm really considering an engine swap down the road too. I'll either do an ls swap or I'll get a new cam and some vortec heads for the 350 I it now. Either way at that point I would love to make it efi.
Once I have time to figure out how to post pics I will.
