I will guesstimate that you are talking about the bottom. It is held in by the seat frame/spring. You need to push the bottom (base) to the rear and lift up.Here is a (poor) picture of the "clamp" that the sear base is held by.
Thanks for the help . While mine isnt exactly the same as your pic , it is close enuff that it helped me get the seat out . Again , thanks for the help .
