I had a code 32 and found the barometric sensor. It had come unscrewed, fell and disconnected. I cannot find the vacuum line anywhere. Does anyone know where it comes from? Is it coming in from above, the side from the radio area? Thanks.

barometric

barometric sensors measures the pressure of the altitude and has no vaccum line to it....jesse

Doesn't the haynes manual state you have to disconnect the electrical connection AND the vacuum line when replacing?

baro

the map sensor has a vaccum line on it.... the baro does not... the reason the baro sensor is used to tell the computer to lean out at sea level and to richen the carb at altitude...jesse

I could be wrong but here is my two cents:

On my 86 regal with an olds v8 motor, the baro sensor only connects to the CCC and does not have a vacuum connection. There appears to be a port on the bottom for a vacuum line but I think that is the port that senses the baro pressure.

The CCC uses this sensor for the primary fuel mixture...

Thanks for the help, Spent an hour under the dash, me being an ex- college lineman and 300 pounds, it was not fun.
