And pretty sure no one will remember me, so I guess I should reintroduce myself. Well I have an 86 grand prix that was my 2nd vehicle I ever had. It came pretty well stock but needing some cleaning, so I did so and all n all she looked real good. I ended up putting bronze iroc wheels on it, looked pretty good at the time. Well the transmission was junk in it, could drive it but no reverse and had a bad pressure regulator. It ended up blowing a seal and I had to change out the trans, which I believe was about my last appearance on here. It took a while for me to gather time to finish it but happily I did.

Shortly after that I had to sell it, which I REALLY didn't want to do, but needed to spare up space quick and I sold it to a friend who I told I wanted it back. He put black torque thrusts on and tinted the windows, lowered the rear but hadn't done the front yet but I do have the springs to do the front too. Anyway without mentioning a word to me, he sold it to another friend, and of course I was pissed. Fortunately that guy knew I wanted it back and offered it back to me, so knowing if I weren't to buy it I would never see it again, I jumped on it.

For now it'll be stuck with the slow as a dog 3.8l, but I am planning an lt1 swap. May take a while but hopefully not too long, mostly right now I want to get a friend to repaint it to take care of the little bit of rust she has. Anyway, pic included, hope you guys like it! Oh and the red car behind it is my 86 mustang gt

Thank! They came off my friend daves cutlass, he was on the forum but don't think he posts at all. I originally was going to go with something different and take the torque thrusts off, but I think they suite the car very well so may end up leaving them on

That's a great looking car and I definitely like the torq thrusts on it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it, been getting a lot of positive attention at work too. Its nice to hear my 2nd car is looking good haha some of my friends keep trying to get the wheels off it too lol

Don't let them either, they look good on that Grand Prix. 😉 Very clean and overall very nice car. LT1 Swap seems like a good idea in the future. 8)

Baaaahhh... why LT when ls based is just as easy!!

Yeah I don't think they are going to get those wheels lol and the reason for lt over ls is price, I don't need anything real crazy, I just want some nice oomph when I press down the gas pedal

Ya, I've heard LS swaps are pricey, and for what you want out of the car, I'm sure an LT engine will be enough oomph. Doesn't sound like your after gobs of power. Sounds like your after similar goals as me. I orginally was just going to stick with the 305 that's in my GP now for my project build and just build that up a bit for daily use. I'm not after insane amounts of power, but since then I've decided to dust off the '69 Buick 350 I have laying around and see how she does. 😀 Nothing too fancy really, just a cam, headers, and an open air elemental type air cleaner on top of the carb. Just enough to maybe get me in the 350hp, 400 ft/lb's torque range, and if I fall short of that goal I'll be alright with that.

Anyway, nice car again, wish mine was as clean as yours at the moment.
