BIAS tires in...'81????

I was going through my dealer's brochure this morning and at the end, in the equipments charts, i was extremetly suprised to find some FIBERGLASS BELTED TIRES available for some models... In my head, fiberglass belted directly equals POLYGLASS!!! Does this mean that a set of repro Goodyear Polyglass would still be, at SOME point, original on my GP???? I even have a picture in the brochure that shows some tires that scream white wall Polyglass!!!!

You could get bias ply tires on those cars back then. My neighbor had an 80 Lemans bought brand new in 80 and it came with bias ply tires on it.

Here's the pic and the specs i was talking about! STRAIGHT OUT of my brochure!!!! :shock: Look at the SIDE THREADS...They simply scream BIAS TIRES!!

So if i understand all this right, i can put some sweet POLYGLASS shoes on my GP and STILL be PERIOD CORRECT???
