New member to the site. I just wanted to thank Bill for showing me around his G-body vehicles. I loved the cars. Most of all, I really appreciated your friendly, modest, and open character. Many times, the owner of the vehicle is overlooked. I can't tell you how many "owners" of vehicles for sale that I've spoken to during my search for the right vehicle. Most of them were unfriendly and all business. There's nothing wrong with getting down to business when money is on the table, but what ever happened to respecting the person who is in front of you? Whatever happened to treating neighbor (or guest) as you would like to be treated? Through my search for the right vehicle for me, I've ran into some pretty shady characters. A few have lied about the vehicle for sale. Some have treated me like I knew nothing and they were the expert. And a few never even returned my emails. I'm glad I ran into Bill. He showed me that you can be friendly and still do business all on the same day with the same person. Bill, I know you're out there. Thanks for allowing me into your home, and giving me hope that there are other G-body owners out there like you.

Sounds like you ran into a 'real' person. I believe that is how we are supposed to treat each other, but treating people in that manner is being lost. Whether it's the media, TV, politicians, etc. , I know it's disgusting to have to deal with dishonest and ignorant people. I've caught myself falling prey to being disrespectful when I'm being disrespected both at work and when out and about. I think it's easier to be a jack**s than to be decent.

But I strive to be better.

This site is filled with people that are of that same personality - decent and honest - for no reason other than we have a common interest - it's how it should be everywhere.

Welcome to the site.

Some may only be dishonest to the wives just so they don't see how deep/over budget one may get at times on our cars. 😗

I agree 100% some people want to BS you into buying a car and get you excited about how they are giving you a deal and want to send you on your way WITHOUT being honest and tell you the issues with the car. Then you find out you just purchased a hot mess. When i sell something i let them know everything that i know needs some attention upfront and even offer to help them fix it after the sale.

"We, we just put in a set of new plugs, did an oil change last week, those tires have less than 2500 miles on them, the inspection guy said the front suspension is good, there not an once of Bondo, still original paint, starts up every time, I'd drive it across state if I had to..."
Put the new plugs in to hid the half a quart a week valve seal leak, filled with 20W50 to hid the noises in the engine, tires are recaps, the guy said the suspension was good enough to make it to get the need parts at the parts store, he's right-there is several gallons & is on top of the original paint, starts all the time with a fight, as long as it's being towed it can be.
That does cover those "honest" BS'ers right?
