was at a friends house today i notice he had a th400 transmission setting in a corner, thinking about making him a offer it. the bell housing is the same style as the th350 (bop) i have installed in the car now which is 87 olds with a 455. so my question is does the drive shaft have to be shorten to make it work or is their a shaft i can purchase that will bolt right in.

Have to cut the driveshaft about 11/16th of an inch, use the 400 yoke

and will also have to cut the "ears' off the side of the trans

Same bolt pattern on the bellhousing. Isn't there long and short tailshaft versions?
400 turbo trans had 3 different length tailshafts, preferred would be the 4" but they also had a 9" and 13"
