My dilemma started when I couldn't find a 1983 Malibu 4dr in good condition. They seem to be non-existence. I got tired of waiting and jumped on a $500 1980 Malibu ex cop car. The interior was rough. After getting it home, I realized it was more work than I wanted. I still had the intentions of restoring the car until I stumbled across a clean 2nd owner 1983 Malibu with 118000 miles. This car I paid $800 and everybody in my family agrees this car makes my 1980 look like a piece of junk. This car has a blue interior (my favorite), V6, pl, a/c, pt. My 1980 is going to be a parts car. I'm going to transfer all the heavy suspension parts onto the 83 including the posi rearend. Now the fun begins on this car. I'll be converting this car to a 5 speed stick, Corvette C5 front brakes, and a Paxton blower for the V6. The family car I always wanted.

It's kind of a shame to use a unique car like a 9C1 Malibu as a parts car. However, if it is really bad I guess you have no choice.

glad to see your doing what you want to with the cars. cant wait to see some pictures!
