If there is no leak then the master cylinder is probably in need of replacement. Do the brakes work or do they go down to the floor when the pedal is pushed?

x2

if that does not do it

also but i doubt it, check the wire and the connection that goes down to the proportioning valve

there may be a break in the wire or the connection came off

if it becomes disconnected it will not turn the light on it would have to become grounded for the light to come on. make sure it isnt pinched and bare wire is making contact....it comes on typically when there is a leak and the piston inside the combo valve is doing its job and shutting off fluid to either the front or back. you can check by bleeding the rear brakes and if the light goes off you know your leak is up front. and vice versa
