I had this in another thread but Im still confused. Which one is it ? Im thinking the top one and the bottom was for cruise ? And since the old transmission is long gone its just the single plug right ?

Are you planning on running the cruise?? I just dealt with the brake switch rigmarole!!! I don't have cruise anymore, but have to have a dual pole switch to unlock the converter. Luckily my stock switch does just that.

Cruise was removed long before I bought the car. Not worried about a converter, Im running a TH400.

So which plug doesnt get used ? Or do they both need to go back on ?
The plug with the white & orange wires & it'll go on the terminal blades that are on the end/front. Plug should only fit where it belongs. Pull the cruise switch since it's not needed, then you could get an older '78-'80 (US)/'78-'85 (CAN) light switch that will have one set of terminal blades. If you ever think about going to a OD lock up trans keep the pigtail & as much wire (purple & pink/black stripe) as you can for the lock up feature so you don't need to hunt it down but remove it/get it out of the way for now.

So the early switch only needs one plug ? Im curious, if the one plug under there is for the brake lights and the other one is for the lock up whats supposed to hook up to the top one ? Separate cruise control harness ?
Is this the early type switch ?

Yeah, the top switch is independent of the brake switch. The pic is early style brake switch single pole which will work fine for you.
