what stock rotors can i use on my 87 regal that are bigger without going thru wilwood or baer?

Nothing without changing spindles. The G-body spindles have the caliper mount forged integrally with the spindle. A larger rotor requires the caliper mount to move outward, which requires a different spindle.

You can do what this guy did, it's what I plan on doing.

That certainly works, but expect to spend $400-$500 on the upper control arms from Hotchkis or Global West. The most cost effective upgrade is likely the S-10 dual piston calipers.

cheapest and easiest upgrade i have seen is the s10 sealed hub 11" rotor/ dual piston setup that you can get off of trucks like extreme blazers. its a nice setup, i got a set of brembo rotors for mine, i have not gotten a chance to test them yet though, cars are torn apart 🙁

I upgraded my front brakes from a 99 camaro. You can use your stock spindles, but need to be modified. You also need to machine your stock rotor to use as a hub or just get them from flynbye.com as i did. You also need the brackets from flynbye.com to make the calipers work on the spindle.

and the rears are from a 95 camaro. those you need the brackets from flynbye.com. You need to remove the axles to do this upgrade. front and back ran me about 600 bucks

for the blazer brake swap you need everything the bolts to the control arm (spindle, hub, brake caliper, rotor) the blazer spindle is a direct bolt on to the gbody without any modification

x2 not even an alignment was needed for mine. Only drawback is the hub is a little pricey if it needs to be replaced. Upside is that the front swap was done in under 2 hours and the braking was much improved. I did the LS1 rears at the same time and the whole deal was just under $1k ( $ 200.00 for the rears ebay used and $ 800.00 for the fronts with new hubs, brakes and lower balljoints ). Monte stops better than the wifes '03 Imp now.

thanks for the input guys. One other question has anyone used the ssbc kit? its about 500 bucks (100 extra to have the calipers red... 🙁 ) but how do these compare?
