Build a Grand Prix Bar?

I did the same thing. Structurally speaking, I'm not sure it really makes a huge difference. I added all my bracing, upgraded swaybars, changed tires and wheels, regeared and added limited slip all at the same time. Can't really say if the GP bar contributed much.

I added my own rear bar and front bar years ago with no other changes and could feel a difference. The car felt more solid under acceleration and going over rough roads.

🙂 I added the rear bar too. Glad to hear they actually improve the handling. I always wondered if there was anything to gain since they really aren't too far from the bumpers themselves.

I also added the rear bar but I made mine out of extra 1-3/4" roll bar tubing and I had to put a bend in it to get around my spare tire well, also I welded it in. It definitely ties everything together in the back.
