I am looking for bumper impact strips for the front and rear bumpers. Does any one make them ? also I need to replace the front and rear filler panels but don't know which company to buy from. Who or what makes for the best quality filler panels

Nobody makes the impact strips. I suspect the filler panels are all made by the same company and remarketed by other companies, which is OK. There's www.autorifix.com and something like Musselman Distributing (try googling). The rears differ from stock in that they go all the way to the center, eliminating the center piece, and they include a cheesy trim for the edge. Your best to find your own way attaching the stock stainless trim. Theyre made of ABS instead of that deteriorating asphalt like crap. Good luck with the 79.

What do you mean by the 'bumper impact strips'? The rubber molding that goes across the bumper?

If that's what you need. As soon as I can find a good set of just plain chrome bumpers you can have mine.

I thought I seen NOS bumper strips on Ebay once, FOR $80!!!! Ouch.....

As far as the filler panels maby you could try something different. Something I am planning is sinking my rear bumper in on my 82 Regal. It will eliminate the filler panels and save me $100 +. I plan on rerouting all the wires, and will probably also have to reverse the license plate to flip up instead of down. I will probably have to get rid of the inner bumper too and also lose a few pounds.....plus cut the mounts where the filler panel goes.

For the front, if I could find a way to sink it in too I would but I haven't decided yet. I have access to a welder so that helps.

I am just throwing ideas at you to hopefully save you some money if your pretty handy and have access to welders and stuff.
