Hi, was wondering if anyone has some good pics of a caddy 500 install? would be very much appreciated.

I plan on throwing the stock 500 and trans Into my 81 Cutlass
Only things I will do this year are.... carb spacer, k&n, cowl induction and dual exhaust. Speakin of which, does anyone know what size of exhaust I should run with the caddy? 2.5" ?

Later I plan on putting a cam, stall converter, plane the heads, headers, so If I want to do that, should I just put 3" on it now and be done with it?
or will 2.5" be enough?

thanx in advance

morgan

Get it done right the first time and put the three inch on, i put 2.5's on my cutlass and im regretting it

is there really any benefit for having larger exhaust? I was gunna go with 2.5 but if 3 maens more hp, i may go that route.

It depends on the size of the engine and power output. If you dont make that much power and have to big exhaust, it may make you lose power.

I am only putting 3" on mine now because I plan on doing more work to the engine and it will need it later, so I figure why waste my time putting 2.5" on it when I will need to replace it later when I hop my engine up some more
