I ORDERED A PAIR OF SUMMIT LONG TUBE HEADERS AND THE DON'T FIT WITH MY 350 INSTALLED SO I WANT O KNOW IF I ORDERED A PAIR OF SUMMIT SHORTYS FOR A G-BODY PART# G9005_W GO ON WITHOUT TAKING OUT MY ENGINE

I had to push my headers up from the bottom on the passenger side, even with the fender and inner fender off. They are long tube from Jegs. It's tight around the A/C stuff. get a bigger hammer 😀

I know with my car, I was able to unbolt the motor mounts and jack the engine up a couple of inches and that gave me room. It really was not that bad, it only took maybe half an hour. This was on an Olds engine, so I do not know if it will work a different engine.

Yeah, any car I've put headers on, we usually had to slide them in fron the bottom. And yes, be prepared to unbolt other things that will be in the way. And if they don't fit, just keep trying. I've always found that they usually slide right in, you just have to find that exact angle.

as everyone's been saying, go from underneath and run the long tubes. the passenger side is the biggest pain though with the heater box and the ac stuff (if you still have it, I ripped all of it out putting in my headers). I took the oil filter off on the drivers side and ran a remote filter. be sure to wrap them with a thin blanket or something if you don't want to scuff or dent them, I got a bunch of scratches in the ceramic coating in mine from getting mad and trying to ram them up.
