Coil Pack relocation

Is there really any reaso other than looks to relocate the coil packs on a LS motor? I am building an LS3 and am debating on stock valve covers or relocate the packs and buy a fancy valve covers but if it is just for looks I may just stick with stock.

Typically for looks, sometimes they get moved to the frame when turbo manifolds are used. Companies make coil pack covers that can look snazzy.
