I know a few people have done, L.E.D bulbs in their dash, and have had them burn out quickly. I was wondering if anyone has just done regular colored bulbs? Post pictures of your stock gauges with colored lighting (L.E.D, or regular bulb).

put a resistor on the LED's, it should last. we tried this on a few rigs at my work. we wanted to switch from reguler bulbs to leds/ and we noticed all the led bulb replacements were packed with resistors. couse led's take WAY less power to work.

There was another thread about the LED cluster, I don't know if anyone did it or not, but here is a how-to:

Thanks thats what I was looking for. I noticed LED lights have a very focused/ directional lighting. I still would like to see regular colored bulbs. The LED's look cool, but only in some areas with our gauge clusters IMO. I'd like to see the light spread evenly.

also just curious since I haven't wired up my stock gauges yet, but can somebody post a picture of the stock gauges lightup at night? (with regular bulbs, no mods)

if you look on ebay you can find replacement bulbs colored thats oem replacement i havent got any yet check it out

even simpler ..... spray your original ones with engine paint ,
I did it 13 years ago still works
