Hey guys I'm lost on trying to find backspacing on my wheels. I have 14x7 olds rallys on my 79 cutlass and I bought me a set of 15x7 rallys to put on back of it. I measured what i thought was backspacing on the 14s that come out to be 3.5. I then measured the 15s and they were 4.312bs. I've searched the internet and found mixed numbers on both. Can someone help me out cause I'm in dire need of tires for the rear and would like to figure out what I can run with no issues. I know this question has probably been asked a million times but I couldn't find anything on here either.

You need a minimum of 3.75 BS. I had Wheel Vintiques 15x8, 4" BS, and a 1/4" spacer (see Avatar). It had 275/60-15's that weren't bad at first, but as the springs settled, they started to rub more and more. I just said "F it" and found a set of S-10 Xtreme 16's. 2WD S-10 rims fit without issue.

Also were did you get your spacer? Is it hub centric and how well did it work with your stock studs and lug nuts?

Baer makes billet, hub centric, and 3 bolt patterns. I have a set of 4 if you're interested. They're 1/4" thick that I got from Summit. Make me an offer. The cheap ones are junk, and don't center on the lugs or hub.

Your 15x7s might work depending on tire sidewall bulge. I ended up going with S-10 Xtreme wheels, 16×8. S-10s and G-bodies are interchangeable.

Did they work out good with your stock wheel studs and lug nuts. And what is the center bore of them. All the ones I've found don't offer the right center bore.

BAE-2000008 that is the part number from summit of the only ones Baer offer in a 1/4 thick spacer. Are these the ones you have?

Okay guys I've been reading and I'm still lost on this. I've read all 23 pages of the wheel fitment guide and still nothing. I've went to oldspower.com and classic Oldsmobile as well. Can someone help a fellow gbody owner out?
