I am looking for a cost effective option for replacing my coil springs and shocks. A bit about my cutlass. It has stock sway bars front and rear a 455 bbo with cast heads and an aluminum intake fiber glass hood aluminum front bumper. Any suggestions with part numbers would be great. Thank you in advance for your help.

Go to napa and order V8 Springs. the word is that the big block is only 30 pounds heavier. cant say that its a fact but i wouldnt really doubt it

Does any one know where I can find a chart with different spring rates?

IMO the inexpensive new moogs off that chart 5658, 5660, 5662 will all work great with that big block firm but not harsh. The bigger front bar or a bigger hollow sway bar off a early 90s F body is even better yet as its a little stiffer and lighter. At least if handling is important to you. It is to me. Poly end links in another cheap substantial upgrade. Last shocks well cheap adjustable drag shock set on 70/30 work well with big block torque to transfer weight but still ride decent and settle slow enough. If you want great handling ride shock get Edlebrock ISAs or Bilsteins. Shocks IMO is not the place to cheap out and get cheap junk. High end BMWs ride & feel like they do for a reason shocks being one of them. I don't want my car raddled & jumping about when I go over rail road tracks etc.
