looks straight! Are you gonna paint the whole car anytime soon?

Great job!...wish I had the guts to try that!

Thank you for the positive feed back.... The original color of the car is black...according to the codes in the trunk.. 8) ... how ever I thinkit may end up more burnt orange like the corvette Daytona Sunset . As for getting around to doin it, well I found out paint isnt cheap.

Good start in taking the initial plunge, lol, that's the difficult part. I do have a tip for you though, although it may seem good now with a satin/flat paint/primer, you will see your spots that you have filled once you put a nice shiney paint job on. Instead of just filling the low spots, spread your filler out farther and blend it into the panel. This will help get you a flat surface, so when you put the paint on the car won't "wave" to others on the road. Not picking on you, I've made the same mistake, my father (bodyman) busted my balls when he saw what I was doing, but saved me lots of frustration later), it's all part of the learning. for example.....

Eveywhere you see filler, was where holes were for fender flares, welded up, it left dimples. As one can see I was using the spot fill method. Once I put primer on and started blocking, I saw how bad it really looked (dad was right, I was wrong, lol).

Quarter panel pic, but it had the same holes, lol. I had to re-do my fenders this way too, as you can see I blended the whole area together for one even surface.
