Thought I'd share a few pics before and after just got finished and couldn't be more happy funds are limited so It took me a couple years to put the engine together going part by part but it was worth the wait 8)

My car is a 1978 monte carlo still had the 305 sbc , TH350 and peg leg 2.29 rear

In the process I put in a Auburn 3.73 posi, Kept the transmission but did a small overhaul with shift kit and 3,000 stall, Also new exhaust headers back. I'm using a Pypes 2 1/2" stainless X-pipe kit with GN exits behind the rear tires

Here's the before pics of the old engine..

very very nice. What are the specs on the new motor ?

Thanks for the kind words.

The block is a 307 out of my friends 68 nova it was a fresh rebuild bored over 30 with a healthy cam. The heads are just 305 HO heads that were ported like crazy and freshened up a bit..

Nothing too extreme but It runs great and has more than enough power for a street vehicle (for me anyways lol) it's very responsive and streetable
The 307 is pretty much just a 283 block with 327 crank so it's revs pretty good.

Looks very nice, great work!

Well, if no one else is gonna ask I'll do it. lol

So what's the deal with your heater?

I wanted to clean up the engine bay but also wanted heat being up here in the Northwest..

what I did was purchase a after market "mojave" heater from summitt I have it mounted behind the dash and wired it to run off the factory controls and It actually works way better than the factory heater and blows plenty hot..

One of the best purchases I made...

Thanks everyone for the kind words 8)

Looks real good. What about some burnout video's?

Hopefully soon lol... I gotta borrow a recorder first.

It's nice NOT having to power break it to get the tires spinning..
