Couple questions I need help with

2 questions,
1st I have a 1983 malibu wagon and I need a seal for the top rear glass hatch. Been looking all over for a while. I can find about all others but not this one.

2nd, I have a 350 eng and trans but am considering a 4 speed auto to aid in fuel mileage. Anyone have a opinion about a 200R4. Really don't want to shorten the shaft for a 700R4 if a 200 will work and handle a 350 engine Thanks in advance :lol:

Hatch seals are not currently reproduced for our wagons.

Fortunately, the hatch seals from 90's Chrysler mini-vans are a great fit, and are abundant at the wrecking yards.

Ha..the 2004r/700r4 can of worms again... The 2004r is an easier bolt in, both can be built plenty strong enough, Nothing wrong the the 700r4, more aftermarket support for it. For simplicity, I would (and did) go with a built 2004r..

Good news about the seal. My brother-in-law also has a wagon. I'll pass that on to him as well. I think the 200r is the transmission of choice. I'll look around a see what I can find out about them and see if I can find one. Thanks folks.

Get a BRF coded 200r4 from a grand national.
